I’ve been having a lot of fun with the EK MOMO kit, an innovative little prefilled setup sent over by the folks at EXEEK so here is the second part of my review.
Now, EXEEK are a relatively fresh face in the industry, but they’ve clearly done their homework. Their site is a breeze to use, the pricing is transparent, and they’ve cut out the middleman by operating as a direct-to-customer manufacturer. While the Momo is currently leading the charge as their flagship, they’ve already got a few more "coming soon" banners teased on the site. If you’re a new customer, they’re still running that absolute steal of a trial where you can bag one for just 99p.
I’m constantly sent prefilled kits, and if I’m honest, most of them start to look like the same device with a different sticker. You click the pod in, vape it dry, and bin it. They work, but they rarely excite.
The EK MOMO, however, actually manages to stand out. The big talking point is the ceramic coil technology. Unlike the standard cotton wicks that can get a bit "tired" towards the end of a pod, these are built for a cleaner, more consistent draw that lasts. But the real game-changer? Adjustability. We’re talking about a prefilled kit that actually lets you tweak the wattage and the airflow. I’ve been waiting for someone to do this properly; it’s a feature usually reserved for pricey mods, and I suspect we’ll see a lot of the "big names" scrambling to copy this soon.

The Device & Tech
The body itself houses a substantial 1200mAh battery and features a rather swish "starry" screen that tracks your power and battery life. Controls are simple: a long hold to wake it up and two clicks to jump into wattage adjustment (once it’s flashing, you can cycle through one watt at a time). Also, a quick correction from my earlier thoughts—four clicks will engage the lock function, which is a must-have for pocket-carrying.
Design-wise, it’s clever. There’s a slight lip on the side to protect the screen, and the pod snaps in with some very reassuring magnets. It charges via USB-C on the base. While you can't stand it up while it’s plugged in, the pod is easy enough to pop off so you aren’t leaving your juice sitting on its side for half an hour.

The Pod System
The pods are a two-part "2+1" configuration. You get the 2ml coil pod (which has the airflow slider on the base) and a 10ml refill container. Technically, the coil pod is pre-primed with 2ml of juice so you can vape instantly, but snapping the 10ml container in only takes a second anyway. The pods are completely transparent, which I love—no more holding your vape up to a lightbulb to see if you’re about to get a dry hit.

The Flavours
Mint - This is a different mint than I’m used to. It’s very strong, though I can’t quite place the specific variety. It has a slightly "toothpaste-y" aftertaste that threw me a little. There’s a touch of peppermint in there giving it a peppery bite at the end, and it isn't overloaded with sweetener. I’m torn; I like it, but that toothpaste vibe is a bit of a curveball.
Strawberry Ice - The cooling isn't too aggressive here; the level is just right. The flavour is sweet, but it captures several different aspects of the strawberry. I get a very slight "greenness" that doesn't intrude, alongside the sweet, candy-like notes that make this a lovely version of a classic.
Banana Ice - If you read my reviews, you’ll know I’m not a fan of banana. I hate those yellow fruit bastards and I’m not afraid to swear about them! However, I test them regardless, and the missus (who loves banana) gave her input. According to her, this is a "nice one." It’s not overly sickly and nails the "foam banana" taste while still showing off a bit of the actual fruit. It is also balanced well by the cooling.
Mixed Berry Ice - Now, this is my kind of juice. It’s packed with berries—definitely blueberry, raspberry, and strawberry, and I think there’s a bit of blackcurrant in there too. It’s very sweet, but the sweetener doesn't take over, allowing the fruit to shine. The ice is present but doesn't blast your head off. I’m not usually into super-sweet juices, but I’ll make an exception for this.
Warm Tobacco - It’s nice to see a tobacco option. We all came from there, after all—you don't see many blue raspberry cigarettes, do you? This is quite realistic; it’s a toasted, American-style tobacco rather than a Virginia blend. It isn't "ashy" like some cheap liquids can be and has a decent amount of depth.

The Performance
Having this level of control on a prefilled kit genuinely changes the experience. You can shut the airflow down for a tight, traditional MTL draw or open it up for a proper RDL (restricted direct lung) hit. I’ve found that even at the 30W top end, the flavour doesn't drop off, and the ceramic coils handle 20mg salts beautifully without feeling like they’re struggling.
Whether you want a mellow 12W puff or a punchy, warm 30W blast, the EK MOMO delivers a level of customisation that the "standard" big-puff kits just can't touch.
Many thanks to EXEEK for sending over these wonderful EK MOMO kits in for review. If you would like to try then for yourself, head over to the direct where you can pick them up for £8.99 a pack.
